The Saints boys water polo team opened their CIF-SS Division 2 playoff run with a 21–13 home victory over Carpinteria on Thursday.

In a fast-paced matchup, the Saints held a 10-7 advantage at halftime after trading goals through much of the first two quarters. Carpinteria was never able to break past the 3 goal deficit as the Saints found another gear late, breaking the contest open with an offensive surge in the fourth quarter to seal the win.

With the victory, the Saints advance to the second round of the Division 2 playoffs and will travel to Damien on Tuesday, November 4.
