Crean Lutheran Standouts Honored as “Athletes of Character” by OCADA

Two Crean Lutheran High School student-athletes were recently celebrated for their integrity and leadership at the Orange County Athletic Director Association (OCADA) “Athletes of Character” event.

Griffin Theetge and Paige Ollivier were selected by their head coaches to represent the Saints, earning recognition not just for their athletic talent, but for the example they set for their peers.

For Griffin, the selection was a testament to his impact beyond the baseball diamond. His head coach, reflecting on nearly two and a half decades of experience, described Griffin as “one of the most complete Christian Student Athletes I’ve ever had the privilege to coach in my 24 years.”

While Griffin is known for being a talented and fiercely competitive player, his coach emphasized that his standout quality is his bold Christian leadership.

“He treats everyone like his brother and strives to get the best out of his teammates,” his coach noted, highlighting Griffin’s ability to lead by example.

Paige was recognized for her tenacity and spirit as a multi-sport athlete. Balancing both Soccer and Flag Football, she has stepped up as a vital leader for the Saints.

Her soccer coach praised her for having an “amazing servant leadership heart,” noting that she leads with character in every aspect of the program. Now serving as a senior captain, Paige was credited for doing a tremendous job in her leadership role, guiding her team with grace and dedication.

Through their dedication and leadership, Griffin and Paige truly exemplify the Saints Values.
