Athletics Weekly Update 3/16 – 3/21

Baseball won both of their games last week! The bats were alive as the Saints hit multiple home runs in both games. They opened the week with a 7-5 victory over Sunny Hills and then a great comeback in a 15-9 win over Esperanza!

Girls Beach Volleyball won both of their league games this week! The Saints swept Esperanza and dropped only one to El Dorado. They are now 4-0 in league play halfway through the season.

Lacrosse went 1-1 last week. Against St. John Bosco, they were down early but rallied to force overtime. In overtime, they gave up the golden goal and lost. The Saints bounced back and got their first league game win of the season! They defeated Yorba Linda 16-12.

Softball went 2-1. To open the week, the Saints defeated both Tustin and Laguna Hills by a score of 11-1. The girls first loss of the season came against Mary Star of the Sea on Friday. Before that, they had won their first eight games of the season.

Swim competed in their first league meet of the season. The boys won a tightly contested meet against Villa Park by two points, 83-81. The girls competed hard and set a few PRs, but lost.

Boys Tennis went 1-1 in their matches. In their final non-league match, they lost to Sage Hill, but had another great league win against Canyon 11-7!

Boys Volleyball wrapped up non-league play with a victory over Capo Valley! They defeated the Cougars in four sets. In their first league match, the Saints lost to Canyon in three sets.
