Saints Weekly Athletic Update 9/29 – 10/4


Football had a fantastic win in league play by defeating Foothill! The Saints came out firing putting up 34 points in the first half. The defense held their own as well, only allowing 14 points and only in the fourth quarter. The final score was 40-14. The Saints are ranked 10th in Orange County.

Girls Volleyball started the second half of Freeway League play. They started with a big win over El Dorado. The Saints didn’t lose a set and played extremely well. Their second game was against La Habra where the Saints took control from the first serve. The Saints swept them as well. The girls are currently ranked 5th in Orange County.

Girls Flag Football lost their only game of the week. They played against a top league team in Esperanza. The Saints battled hard but were unable to come out victorious losing 13-24.

Boys Water Polo played one league game last week. The Saints took on El Dorado and defeated them 18-7. Both sides of the ball played well against one of the top teams in league. They are now 2-0 with only 3 league games remaining.

Girls Tennis won both of their games last week! In league they defeated Troy 12-6 with the singles players winning 9 sets! In a non league matchup up the Saints took on a tough Santa Margarita team winning 11-7. We had multiple singles players and doubles teams sweep their three rounds. In the first CIF rankings the girls are ranked 10th in CIF-SS.

Girls Golf won their only league game last week! The Saints defeated Sunny Hills 185-223 sticking to their average score. They are now 6-1 overall and 4-1 in league.

Cross Country competed in the Central Park Invitational. Luke Bremmer finished 2nd overall! The girls team finished in 4th place and the boys in 8th. In the CIF rankings the girls are ranked 10th in Division 4.
