Saints Weekly Update 5/4 -5/9

Baseball’s season has come to an end. The Saints didn’t make the playoffs, but ended the season on a four-game winning streak!

Softball has made the playoffs! The Saints went 1-1 last week. After losing the first game, the Saints were tied for third place and the automatic playoff spot. The final game was against Esperanza, the team with whom they were tied. The Saints came out on fire and never stopped, winning 17-7. The Saints are in Division 5 playoffs and will host Alemany on Friday.

Swim & Dive competed in CIF playoffs last week. Both the boys and girls had multiple athletes qualify for the finals! Top competitors were Nolan Weijland, who finished third in the 200 IM and 100 Breast, and Taylor Cain, who finished seventh in the 100 Breast. The boys and girls teams finished 16th overall.

Track & Field competed in the CIF Division 3 Prelims on Saturday. It was an eventful day, with the Saints having 30+ athletes compete! The Saints had seven athletes qualify for CIF Finals: Reese Hogan (1st in High Jump, 5th in Triple Jump), Olivia Viola (8th in 100 Hurdles), Girls 4×800 (9th), and Noah Richardson (1st in Pole Vault)

Boys Tennis competed in the CIF Division 3 playoffs last week. The Saints traveled up to Burbank for the first round. It was a great tennis match that ended in a 9-9 tie. However, the Saints lost in game points by four.
