Saints Weekly Athletic Update 4/27 – 5/2


  • Baseball won both of their games last week! The Saints had great showings in their two non-league games against El Dorado and Trabuco Hills. The pitching was excellent in both outings, and the hitters had some clutch hits to secure the victories.

  • Boys Golf competed in the League Prelims and Finals last week. Through it, four golfers qualified for CIF Individuals: Nathan Sok, Matthew Kim, Steve Yoo, and Knox Heath.

  • Lacrosse took on Servite last week in the first round of CIF. As underdogs, the Saints held their own in the first half, keeping it tight, before the Friars expanded their lead and went on to win. It was a great season for the Saints who continue to make strides every year.

  • Softball went 1-2 over the week. The Saints lost the first two games before bouncing back and defeating Troy on Senior Day! Senior Hayli McIlroy ended the game with a walk-off inside-the-park home run!

  • Swim & Dive competed in the League Prelims and Finals last week. The Saints had some great showings at league finals and had multiple swimmers qualify for CIF!

  • Boys Tennis competed in the Crestview League Individual Tournament. The Saints had a doubles pair (Ivan Lin/Ethan Dowdell) and a singles player (Dane MacGinnis) reach the finals! They all competed hard and finished in second. Even with the result, all three have qualified for the CIF Individual Tournament.

  • Track & Field are League Champions! Both boys and girls excelled at league prelims and finals, securing league titles for both teams! All of the Saints competed well and contributed to the team winning a league title. Both teams went 4-0 in league meets and carried that success into the league finals. There are a multitude of athletes who not only were league champions in their events but also qualified for CIF!
