Saints Weekly Athletic Update 4/13 – 4/18

Baseball lost their series against Brea Olinda. Both games were tightly contested, but the Saints weren’t able to pull it out in the end.

Girls Beach Volleyball are league champions! The girls finished out league last week and have won their third consecutive league title! The Saints also played in the Crestview League Individual Tournament. It was a great day of volleyball, with the Saints having three pairs in the semifinals. The pair of Liz Park and Sasha Pugh won the entire tournament! The Saints will start playoffs this week, traveling to Huntington Beach for the first round.

Boys Golf had a busy week playing four league rounds. The Saints went 3-1, winning two close matchups against Cypress and Yorba Linda. They won their three matches by a total of 17 strokes.

Lacrosse had a great week, winning both of their league games! They defeated El Modena and El Dorado. With the wins, the Saints secured third place in league and an automatic qualifying spot in playoffs!

Softball went 2-1 in their games last week. They split their two league games, defeating Troy but falling to Esperanza. The Saints also defeated Corona Del Mar.

Swim & Dive won their meet against Sunny Hills! Both the boys and the girls swam extremely well and earned enough points to defeat the Lancers. The Saints also competed in the Foothill Games. It was a great final opportunity before their final league meet and league finals.

Boys Tennis lost both of their matches last week. Both were tough matches, but the Saints lost by two in each.

Track & Field competed in the OC Championships on Saturday. It was a great event where many Saints set not only personal but also school records. Some standouts were Reese Hogan, who became the school’s first varsity individual champion at this invitational, by winning the high jump. She also placed second in the triple jump. Noah Richardson also finished second in the boys’ triple jump.

Boys Volleyball split their two league matches last week. First, they lost to Foothill. The Saints bounced back to defeat and sweep Troy on Senior Night.
